Yesterday I gave a big presentation at work and wanted to look très professional (and, of course, on trend). I was inspired by all of the street style photography of effortlessly chic girls from New York Fashion Week to rock an all black look on the sunny California fall day.
Here’s what I wore: my new black Gap (Equipment knock-off) silk blouse tucked into a bouclé textured skirt, polka dot sheer tights and black mary jane heels. All business yes, but also, a little bit of fun (see pink friendship bracelets)- I don’t like to look toooo serious as I do work in a creative environment, after all.
And in case you were wondering, I aced the presentation!

I think this outfit works so well because of all the different textures that you use. Black on black is a hard look to put together and you did a fantastic job.
