Despite my aforementioned natural disaffinity for wearing red (talked about, yet worn here), I decided to knit myself a pretty lace patterned red cashmere hat for Christmas. Truth to be told, I saw a paparazzi shot of Taylor Swift wearing a similar one and I thought it adorable. I got all inspired and there I was, buying seasonally festive red yarn and picking out a pattern. I happen to think the hat came out great and I really do love the rich color. It’s perfect for keeping warm on brisk snowy walks around Lost Lake in Whistler and it matches my favorite festive red lip gloss, Stila’s Lip Glaze in Cranberry.

I also knitted the mohair fingerless gloves I’m wearing here several years ago. I’ve worn them to death and thus, they’ ve turned into total fur balls. I think it adds to their character, wouldn’t you agree? And don’t you just love my silver metallic nail polish? I call them my Tron Legacy nails. Santa brought the color to me in my stocking, its “Diamond Geezer” from Butter London’s new Heavy Metal Collection.

I love my fingerless gloves (alicia, I got my at Target). Tara, that bow necklace is awesome. I’ve been thinking about it since out cocktail party . . . I’m going to keep an eye out for something similar :)
