My friend and I decided to go on an evening adventure this past weekend outside of the city to Oakland’s waterfront Jack London Square for dinner at the much-hyped ‘Haven’ and a little late night bar hopping. I have to say I was much impressed with this new wave hipster cool area, which was complete with a brand new giant Blue Bottle coffee outpost and production facility and a very cool (and aptly named) urban winery, Urban Legend Cellers. It’s so SF’s Mission 2.0. I now understand why the New York Times put Oakland as #5 on their list of 45 places to go in 2012. p.s. Haven is insanely delicious and they have really cute bartenders. You really should go.
Never heard of this spot – adding to list of places to check out. It’s always nice to venture out of the city!

We love our li’l hood here in JLS!
