When I first opened the box with this present of a dress from Aidan Mattox in it last week, the first thing out of my mouth was ‘wow…sparkle’. It literally sparkled like nothing I had ever seen before. And then because I have been watching a lot of ‘Bachelor Pad’ I thought… this is my perfect rose ceremony dress. I could totally be the Bachelorette in this dress, cocktail partying it and then passing out roses to my suitors very slowly and seriously, one at a time. Everyone would call me “stunning.” The dress had already taken me to a fantasy place (the best clothes always do). Cue photo shoot.

This really is a pretty incredible dress: blush colored stretchy knit with different colored sequins and paillettes hand sewn all over it. It’s surprisingly so so comfortable. And until I get chosen as the next Bachelorette, I will be painting the town red in it to every cocktail party I get invited to.

  63. Thanks for letting us know about this contest. You look amazing and effortless in this. Enjoy your time “painting the town in it.” I would love to have this. I work for an opera company and there are more cocktail events than I can count and I cannot afford to keep up with new dresses. It would also be amazing to have a dress that stands out and is different from more conservative, dark, subdued pieces that are in the mix. And all of the excitement comes from the garment. I don’t have to worry about not having the expensive jewelery that everyone else in the room will have. I won’t need it. I will take such good care of it and get a lot of use out of it. Maybe even make a good dress for my elopement (shhh).

I have to say, I just found your blog and I am totally in awe and in love with your frershness, creativity and overall gorgeous looks and outfits, mostly because I see you wearing what you like, despite people saying curvaceous girls shouldn’t wear. I do the same, being myself a big girl, – ok, I’m outright fat and short, eheh – and I go around in sequins and light coloured pants, like I couldn’t – and don’t – care less. You style is impecable, and you are beautiful as hell!
